Issy Wunder Named CSC Academic All-American

Issy Wunder '26 has added another accolade to ger illustrious Princeton Women's Hockey career with her selection as an Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators (CSC).
Wunder was named a second-team Academic All-American. In all 45 athletes were chosen as Academic All-Americans across the three teams and among all the sports in the at-large category, which includes beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, volleyball (men's), water polo, and wrestling. Baseball, softball, basketball, soccer, cross country/track and field, football, and volleyball each have their own CSC honors. Schools submit up to six men and six women from across the at-large sports to be named Academic All-District, and from there, a subset of All-District honorees are placed on a ballot for CSC members to vote on for Academic All-America honors.
Wunder is one of five Ivy Leaguers included in the group. She is one of three women's ice hockey players from Division I to be honored and the lone ECAC player to be selected. She is the first Princeton women's ice hockey player to be named a CSC Academic All-American.
Wunder, who graduated in May with a degree in Psychology, is set to embark on her professional career after recently being selected by Las Vegas in the second round of the 2026 PWHL Draft. The 13th overall selection, Wunder was one of three members of Princeton's senior class to be selected this past June, joined by Jane Kuehl (Toronto) and Emerson O'Leary (Toronto).
The 2025 and 2026 Ivy League Player of the Year, 2025 ECAC Forward of the Year and the 2026 recipient of the ECAC's Mandi Schwartz Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award, Wunder was twice a Top-10 Finalist for the Patty Kazmaier Award which is presented to the nation's most outstanding player. She was twice named Academic All-Ivy, is a four-time ECAC All-Academic Team selection and has also earned Krampade/AHCA All-American Scholar honors during her career.
