No. 15 Men's Volleyball Ready for EIVA Semifinals vs. NJIT

PRINCETON, N.J. – The No. 15 Princeton University men's volleyball team will open play at the 2022 Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Championships as defending 2022 champions on Thursday night in the semifinals against the NJIT Highlanders as the No. 2 seed.
The tournament is being hosted by No. 1 seed Penn State in University Park, Pennsylvania.
On Wednesday April 19th, No. 6 seeded NJIT defeated No. 3 seeded Charleston 3-2 in the opening round of EIVA conference play. Last time out at the tournament in 2022, Princeton upset the No. 1 seeded Nittany Lions in the semifinals 3-2, and then went on to be named EIVA Champions after defeating NJIT 3-1.

Princeton will take on the Highlanders on Thursday for the second, consecutive match after defeating NJIT on senior night with a final score of 3-1 (30-28, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21) to close out the regular season at home inside Dillon Gymnasium on Senior Day.
In the Tigers' match with NJIT, Brady Wedbush led Princeton with a season high, 15 kills and season high six aces.
Nyherowo Omene recorded four blocks to lead the Tigers and Henry Wedbush led the Tigers in assists (33) and digs (6) for the match.
Through 24 Matches
As a team, Princeton has climbed the AVCA rankings to No. 15 and five Tigers were honored with post-season All-EIVA team recognition following the conclusion of the regular season.
Ben Harrington was named First Team All-EIVA, Henry Wedbush was named Second Team All-EIVA, and Nico Posivak, Nyherowo Omene, and Ryan Vena were all named Honorable Mention All-EIVA.

Ben Harrington currently ranks third in the nation in aces per set (.72) and leads the EIVA in this category. He also leads the EIVA in kills per set with 3.56.
The Tigers will look to take another important victory over the Highlanders, and earn a spot in Saturday's EIVA final round.
