Nine Tigers Earn CSC At-Large Academic All-District Honors

Nine Princeton student-athletes across eight programs have earned College Sports Communicators Academic All-District honors, the organization announced on Tuesday.
In addition to awarding honors for men's and women's soccer, football, volleyball, men's and women's basketball, swimming and diving, men's and women's tennis, baseball, softball, and track and field/cross country, College Sports Communicators recognizes up to five student-athletes from each school as part of its at-large honors, grouping together NCAA-sponsored sports that do not have their own CSC academic recognition. Student-athletes must meet a GPA standard and have outstanding athletic achievement to qualify.
Here are Princeton's honorees:
Hannah Davey, field hockey: A senior sociology major, Davey was the Ivy League's Defensive Player of the Year and earned two All-American honors.
Samantha Davidson, field hockey: A junior sociology major, Davidson had seven goals on the season to stand third on the team in its Ivy League championship season.
Ben Finlay, men's lacrosse: A senior religion major, Finlay was a second-team All-Ivy League honoree on defense as the Tigers won the Ivy League Tournament and returned to the NCAA tournament.
Jackson Fretty, men's golf: A junior sociology major, Fretty earned first-team All-Ivy League honors, finishing third at the Ivy League Championships as the team won the Ivy title.
Victoria Liu, women's golf: A sophomore computer science major, Liu's play over the season earned an at-large individual bid to the NCAA regionals.
Quincy Monday, wrestling: A senior anthropology major, Monday made it back-to-back All-American finishes this past season, finishing third at the NCAA Championships.
Tristan Szapary, men's fencing: A junior neuroscience major, Szapary earned All-American honors in his NCAA Championships debut, finishing 10th and helping the team finish runner-up.
May Tieu, women's fencing: A senior economics major, Tieu was the individual runner-up at the NCAA Championships, earning her second All-American honor as the team finished runner-up.
Camille Vandermeer, women's open rowing: A senior economics major, Vandermeer captained a varsity eight boat seeded first at the upcoming NCAA Championships.
