April 17, 2026 | Women's Rowing - Open
PRINCETON – The No. 6 Princeton Women's Open Rowing Team hosts three top ten foes on Lake Carnegie Saturday.
The Tigers welcome the No. 3 Yale Bulldogs, the No. 4 Tennessee Volunteers and the No. 8 Virgina Cavaliers on Saturday. Racing begins at 9 a.m. with the varsity four followed by the first varsity (9:15), second varsity (9:30), third varsity (9:45), varsity four B (10:00) and varsity four C (10:15).
Princeton and Yale will race for the Eisenberg Cup, a Cup that dates back to 1975. The Tigers lead the all-time series, 36-12, and had won 12 straight times before Yale collected the victory last season. Head coach Lori Dauphiny's crew raced Tennessee last year with the Volunteers earning a 3.5-second decision. The Tigers defeated the Cavaliers in 2023, the last time those two faced off in the regular season.
At the 2025 Ivy League Championships, the Tigers' 1V won gold for the eighth straight season, defeating Yale's previously unbeaten boat. The Bulldogs won the team title over Princeton by one point.
The Tigers' sixth place finish at the 2025 NCAAs in the team standings marked the 10th top-ten finish for the program in the last 13 NCAA regattas.
Princeton's 1V had a stellar double session last Saturday, defeating Syracuse, Harvard and Cornell in the morning session, before dropping Rutgers in the afternoon.
Dauphiny's squad began the year with winning four of five races against No. 7 Brown on Lake Carnegie. Princeton's 1V kept the Class of 1987 Trophy earning a 7:16.1 while Brown nabbed a 7:22.8.
