Matthew Jester Selected By St. Louis Battlehawks In XFL Draft

PRINCETON – Matthew Jester was selected by the St. Louis Battlehawks in the 2023 XFL Draft today.

Jester was first-team All-Ivy in 2022 after leading Princeton in both tackles for loss (six) and sacks (three). He had sacks in Ivy League wins over Brown, Harvard and Dartmouth. The senior captain even got on the scoreboard this season, intercepting a conversion pass against Cornell and returning it for two points.

The former Tiger signed with the Los Angeles Rams after the NFL Draft before being selected today. He joins Andrei Iosivas (Cincinnati Bengals), Henry Byrd (Denver Broncos), John Lovett (Miami Dolphins), Jesper Horsted (Las Vegas Raiders), Stephen Carlson (Chicago Bears) and Jeremiah Tyler (Houston Gamblers, USFL) as Princeton professionals.
