No. 5 Princeton to Open Ivy Season with No. 6 Columbia, No. 9 Cornell

The Ivy League season will begin this weekend for the No. 5-ranked Princeton men's squash team as the Tigers play their first matches of 2024 against No. 6 Columbia, Friday in Jadwin, and No. 9 Cornell, Sunday in Ithaca.

Princeton, at 3-0, opened the season before the break for the holidays and first-semester finals with wins over Drexel, Western Ontario and Williams, all top-15 opponents. Thomas Rosini and Gordon Lam have each won all three of their matches so far on the season while Karim Elbarbary and Alastair Cho have combined to keep Princeton unbeaten at the first position over the first three matches.
Princeton holds a 7-6 series lead over Columbia since the teams' first meeting in 2012. Princeton has won the last two since Columbia's last win in 2020. Princeton and Cornell have been playing since 1957, and the Tigers have won the last seven since Cornell's last win over Princeton in 2016.
At 4-1, Columbia will be looking to bounce back from its lone loss of the season, to Western Ontario last weekend, and Cornell enters Friday's match at No. 1 Penn at 7-0.
After the Ivy-opening weekend, Princeton will host Harvard and Dartmouth in Jadwin on the last weekend of January.
