No. 5 Princeton Opens Ivy Season, Defeats No. 6 Columbia

Taking the first four matches off court and seven of the first eight, the No. 5-ranked Princeton men's squash team was a 7-2 winner over No. 6 Columbia on Friday to open the Ivy League season in Jadwin Gym.
Karim Elbarbary, Ahmed Hussein, Alastair Cho and Gordon Lam delivered wins to get Princeton to a 4-0 lead, and following Columbia's first win, Avi Agarwal had the clincher before Thomas Rosini and Hollis Robertson followed with wins on the way to the 7-2 final. Lam's win came in five games after opponent Rutvik Rau won the first two games and Lam won three straight elimination games to take the match.
Now 4-0, Princeton will head to No. 9 Cornell on Sunday for a noon match to open the Ivy season.
