October 18, 2024 | Women's Cross Country
PRINCETON, N.J. – With Anna McNatt finishing in the top 20 racers, the Princeton women's cross country team took eighth place in the Princeton Fall Classic at home on the Meadows Campus course on Friday.
The Tigers earned a score of 202 in a field of 22 teams, topping the four Ivy rivals who competed.
"Today was an outstanding experience at the Princeton Fall Classic. The inaugural event attracted an elite field and an electric environment in preparation for the Ivy League Championships at home in two weeks. We are nearly at full strength heading into the championship season as shown today by strong front running performances from Anna McNatt and Lexi Allen. Our depth will be key to our success in two weeks. Our young nucleus of Emma de Jong, Meg Madison and Liv Martin will be bolstered by the presence and racing efforts of Peyton Leigh and Morgan Monesmith as they continue to improve. Our athletic grounds crew and athletics event management put on a tremendous event today. Our championship facility and our outstanding staff will host an electric Heps meet in two weeks. Go Tigers!" - Head Coach Brad Hunt
Sophomore McNatt finished in 18th place in the 6k with a time of 20:10.2 for a new personal best.
