After a Princeton punt to begin the contest, Harvard went down the field and scored on a 19-yard touchdown catch from Kaedyn Oderman. Cooper Barkate's 14-yard touchdown reception made it 14-0 with four minutes to go in the first quarter.
Princeton responded with a 75-yard drive highlighted by Blaine Hipa's three-yard scamper into the end zone as the clock expired to end the first frame.
Trailing by seven, the Tigers' defense rang the turnover bell as Payton Tally jumped up to capture an interception as the second stanza got underway. The Tigers were forced to punt on the next possession and the Crimson responded with a 21-yard touchdown from Seamus Gilmartin.
Following a field goal from the home squad, the Tigers ended the first half as Jeffrey Sexton hit a 38-yard field goal to make it 24-10 at the break.
Head coach Bob Surace's squad forced a punt to begin the second half and added a 51-yard field goal from Sexton to cut the deficit to 11, 24-13.
The 51-yarder from the senior was the first 50-yarder by a Princeton kicker since Taylor Northrop (50) hit one vs. Lehigh on Sept. 23, 2000.
Harvard put the contest away with three straight touchdown drives.
Mason Armstead tied his career high with eight tackles. Luke Colella had four catches for 52 yards in the loss.
The Tigers host the Cornell Big Red next Saturday (Nov. 2) for Homecoming. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
