Scatchard to Compete in NCAA Championships

PRINCETON, N.J. - Senior Mena Scatchard will travel to Madison, Wis. to compete individually in the NCAA Championships on Saturday, November 23rd. The women's race will begin at 10:20 a.m. ET.
Scatchard qualified for the national championships after setting a new personal best of 19:58.2, taking ninth place overall. Her performance helped Princeton to a fourth place finish and team score of 99.
The performance was Scatchard's fifth top finish for Princeton this season, ??and it earned her All-Region honors.
Before regionals, Scatchard took second place at the Ivy Heptagonal Championships, helping Princeton to its first Ivy title since 2015 with a time of 20:17.1.
Scatchard also was the top Tiger at the Paul Short Run (20:15.3), the Spiked Shoe Invite (20:25.2), and the New Jersey Jam (4k - 14:09.1). Her performances helped the Tigers to third place finishes at both Paul Short and Spiked Shoe, and a first place finish at the New Jersey Jam.
This will be Scatchard's first career trip to the NCAA Cross Country Championships.
