February 27, 2024 | Men's Squash
Seeded No. 2 in the CSA team championships set to begin on Thursday at the Specter Squash Center at Drexel, the Princeton men's squash team is in position to return to some lofty program history.
Draws are available here. Matches will be streamed on the College Squash YouTube channel here.
The Tigers have a bye out of Thursday's first round and will compete on Friday against No. 10 Virginia at 11 a.m. The Tigers were 8-1 winners over the Cavaliers in Princeton's regular-season finale on Feb. 17.
Saturday, with a win, Princeton would compete in an 11 a.m. semifinal against No. 3 Penn or No. 6 Columbia.
No. 1 Trinity, No. 4 Harvard, No. 5 Yale, No. 8 Drexel, No. 9 Dartmouth, and No. 12 Tufts are on the other side of the draw. All men's matches will begin at 11 a.m., except for Sunday's matches, which will begin at 10:30 a.m.
Since the program's last title in 2012, Princeton's best finish was third, in 2013. Princeton played in the Hoehn Cup annually from 2014-17, and since returning to the Potter Cup in 2018, the team's best finish was fourth, in 2020. Since returning from the pandemic pause, the Tigers finished sixth in 2022 and seventh last year.
Princeton's usual top three of Karim Elbarbary, Hollis Robertson and Thomas Rosini earned All-Ivy League honors this year as Princeton won its first Ivy League title since 2013. Elbarbary enters the CSA championship events as a two-time All-America, which he'll be able to pursue at the CSA individual championships, set for March 8-10.
