No. 15 Men's Volleyball Gets Past FDU, 3-2

HACKENSACK, NJ - The No. 15 Princeton men's volleyball team claimed a hard-fought 3-2 victory (25-18, 19-25, 20-25, 26-24, 15-8) over Farleigh Dickinson University this evening at the Bogota Savings Bank Center.
The Tigers engaged in back and forth battle with the Knights, initially taking the lead by winning the first set. However, the Knights rallied, securing two consecutive sets to lead 2-1. Princeton adjusted its strategy, ultimately clinching the win with consecutive victories in the 4th and 5th sets.
With the win, the Tigers improve to 9-9 on the season and will now focus on conference play for the remainder of the regular season. Next up, the Tigers are set to face NJIT on the road in Newark, New Jersey.
Tonight's top performer in kills was senior Ben Harrington, who accumulated a total of 25, while Nyherowo Omene contributed 16 of his own.
Tristan Whitfield, a first year who has been seeing more playing time within the past couple of games, delivered a standout performance. Whitfield achieved a career-high two service aces on offense and showcased his defensive prowess with seven blocks at the net, supported by Henry Wedbush with four blocks. Wedbush also led on the stat sheet with 50 assists and 13 digs over the course of the five-set match.
