Fencers Head for Final Day at NCAA Championships

It was the men's team's turn to compete on Saturday at the NCAA Championships hosted by Ohio State, and heading into the final day of competition on Sunday, the Tiger fencers stand fourth as a team.
Harvard leads with 141 wins, ahead of second-place Columbia at 127 and a +120 touch differential with Notre Dame third at 127 and a +115 touch differential. Princeton fourth at 106 wins in the field of 27 teams.
Individually, senior épée Tristan Szapary stands sixth with 10 wins, one of seven fencers between third place and ninth who will enter Sunday at 10 wins. The top four will advance to the semifinals. Fellow épée rookie Alec Brooke is 12th with eight wins.
Junior foil David Prilutsky stands 18th with six wins and rookie foil Ethan Um is 21st with four wins. Sophomore Matthew Limb and senior Andrew Johnson are 13th and 14th in the saber competition, each with seven wins and Limb with a touch differental of -2 to Johnson's -3.
All three weapons will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday. Live scoring is available here and here with video of the pool bouts here and here. The individual national championship semifinals will begin at 1:30 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
