March 28, 2024 | Women's Lacrosse
Junior attacker McKenzie Blake secured a pair of national honors this week as she was added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List and was named an honorable mention Midseason All-American by ILWomen.com.
Blake's play this season is more than deserving of both accolades, as she sits on 24 goals and 26 total points through eight games this season. Her 24 goals lead the Tigers as does her 30 draw controls, while she is second on the team with 12 ground balls.
Currently, Blake ranks No. 7 in the Ivy League in goals, and is No. 6 in goals-per-game (3.00) while also ranking No. 3 in shots-per-game (7.00) and No. 5 in shots on goal-per-game (4.75).
This is her first time on the Tewaaraton Award Watch List for national player of the year.
