Amelia Hughes Named Ivy League Defensive Player Of The Week

Sophomore goalkeeper Amelia Hughes has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week after posting a .523 save percentage against a pair of Top-25 opponents this past week.
She made 16 saves while allowing 10 goals in a 13-10 win over No. 22 Rutgers on Wednesday before stopping seven shots in two-goal loss to No. 21 Yale in the rain on Saturday. She finished with 23 total saves and 21 goals against for the week.
Through four games this season, she leads the Ivy League in saves (40) and saves per game (10.0).
Hughes and the Tigers return to Sherrerd Field on March 6 to host Monmouth at 7 p.m.
