Victoria Liu Wins Second Ivy League Women's Golf Title

Junior Victoria Liu was as steady at it comes over the three rounds of the 2024 Ivy League Championship, shooting an even-par final round 72 to stave off all challengers and claim her second career individual Ivy League Championship.
Liu was +2 overall for the 54 holes of play, sandwiching a pair of even-par rounds of 72 on Friday and Sunday around a +2 Second Round on Saturday.
The final round was a challenging one as only two of the 30 players competing were under par, making Liu's 72 (E) the third-best round of the day. Liu had entered the Third Round tied with Dartmouth's Sophie Thai for the top spot after 36 holes, but Thai was +4 in the final round to fall down the leaderboard.
Liu's medalist honor at the Ivy League Championship is the 12th all-time for a Tiger and she is now the fourth Princeton women's golfer to win multiple Ivy titles in her career -- joining Julia Alison (1999, 2001), Avery Kiser (2002, 2003, 2004) and Susannah Aboff (2008, 2009).
The 2022 Ivy League Rookie of the Year and the 2023 Ivy League Player of the Year, Liu is now a two-time first-team All-Ivy selection.
On Sunday, she carded a pair of birdies and two bogeys, marking down par on the remaining 14 holes. Her round started wth a birdie on No. 2 and then back-to-back bogeys on Nos. 4 and 5. after pars on the next six holes, she birdied No. 12 to get back to even for the day. Her steady play the rest of the way was more than enough to secure a four-shot win over three other golfers who tied for second at +6.
