Hughes Named Ivy League Goalkeeper Of The Year; Five Named All-Ivy

Sophomore goalkeeper Amelia Hughes leads a contingent of six Tigers to earn Ivy League end-of-season awards with her selection as Ivy League Goalkeeper of the Year.

Hughes, also named first-team All-Ivy, is joined by Tiger teammates McKenzie Blake (unanimous first-team All-Ivy), Haven Dora (second-team All-Ivy), Abigail Roberts (second-team All-Ivy) and Grace Tauckus (second-team All-Ivy) as Princeton student-athletes honored by the League's coaches.

Hughes leads Ivy goalkeepers in save percentage in Ivy play at .454 and is third in both saves-per-game (8.43) and GAA (11.85) during conference games. Her selection marks the third time since the award was first presented in 2018 that a Princeton keeper has earned the honor – joining Sam Fish who was the award in both 2019 and 2022.

McKenzie Blake earned her second career first-team All-Ivy honor – and first unanimous nod of her career – by leading the Ivy League in goals (29), goals-per-game (4.14) and game-winning goals (3) while also ranking No. 4 in points-per-game (4.43) during Ivy contests.

After posting just 15 points in 13 games overall last season, Haven Dora has exploded as a sophomore to pick up her first career All-Ivy honor. Her 31 points in seven Ivy games more than doubled her production from all of last season, and her 22 assists and 3.14 assists-per-game in Ivy play are both tied for No. 2 in the Ivy League. She is also tied with her teammate, Blake, for No. 4 in points-per-game in Ivy play (4.43).

Senior Grace Tauckus has tallied 25 points in her seven Ivy games this season, scoring 21 goals and adding four assists. Her 3.0 goals-per-game in Ivy play rank No. 6 among Ancient Eight players, and her 3.57 points-per-game rank No. 10. She is now a two-time second-team All-Ivy selection, adding this year's selection to a recognition earned in 2022.

Abigail Roberts played in only seven games last season as a rookie, and her seven Ivy-only games this season made quite the impact on the League's coaches who voted her second-team All-Ivy. She has been a true defensive stalwart in the midfield during Ivy League play, winning 25 draws to lead the Tigers. She also paces the team in Ivy games with 11 caused turnovers. Roberts ranks No. 5 in caused turnovers-per-game in Ivy play (1.57) and No. 7 in draw controls-per-game in Ivy play (3.57) and is the only player in the Ivy League to rank inside the Top-10 in both of those categories in Ivy League play this season.

Senior Ellie Mueller was the final Tiger to earn end-of-season honors from the Ivy League, garnering Academic All-Ivy recognition for her work on the field and in the classroom.

The Tigers head to Yale this weekend for the 2024 Ivy League Women's Lacrosse Tournament as the No. 2 seed. Up first, a meeting with No. 3 seed Penn on May 3 at 4 p.m. A win advances the Tigers to the championship game on May 5 at 12 p.m. All games in the Ivy League Tournament will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
