Men's Ice Hockey Has Three Players Headed To NHL Development Camps
June 30, 2024 | Men's Ice Hockey
A trio of Princeton men's ice hockey players will head to NHL Development Camps in the coming days as they continue to grow their games while playing in front of potential future NHL suitors.
Brendan Gorman (San Jose Sharks), Noah de la Durantaye (Vegas Golden Knights) and Arthur Smith (Philadelphia Flyers) will each be making their second appearance at a NHL Development Camp. Gorman skated with Vegas in 2023, while de La Durantaye is making his second appearance with the Golden Knights after skating with them in 2022. Smith skated with Tampa Bay in 2022 before his time at Princeton.
"Any time our players can get in front of NHL organizations and showcase their skills is important," said head coach Ben Syer. "Each has been through this process before, so they will have a comfort level of what it takes to succeed during this week and know what to expect from a competitive standpoint. I know they're looking forward to the opportunity to continue their growth as hockey players which will have a huge impact on our team in 2024-25 and helps set the stage for their professional careers down the road."
