Princeton, N.J.- Sydney Berlin, a four-year starter as part of the University of Florida's women's tennis team, has joined the Princeton University women's tennis coaching staff as announced by head coach Elizabeth Johnson.
"Sydney is a fantastic addition to our staff," Johnson said. "Our program is very excited to be adding a coach with SEC experience to our staff. Her energy has had an immediate impact on our team, and we are excited to see her be a leader here."
With the Gators, Berlin made the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Second Team, the Sportsmanship Award Bedford Cup, the SEC Academic Honor and was an Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) All-Academic Scholar Athlete. Berlin also served as co-captain of the team.
"I am beyond excited to join this team and I look forward to achieving great success together," said Berlin. "Growing up in both Sweden and the US has honed my ability to adapt quickly to new environments and collaborate effectively with many diverse groups. I aim to leverage this international experience to bring a fresh perspective and enhance team dynamics."
Prior to joining the Princeton coaching staff, Berlin coached at the Fair Play Tennis Club in Malmo, Sweden. She also served as a Sales District Leader at PepsiCo in 2023 before returning to the sport she grew up playing.
Before college, Berlin represented Team Sweden in the European Championships and was a five-time finalist in the Swedish Junior Championships (Singles and Doubles).
