Women's Volleyball Hits Season-High .367, Earns 3-0 Sweep At Dartmouth

HANOVER, N.H. – The Princeton University women's volleyball team produced a season-high .367 hitting percentage in a 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 25-15) sweep of Dartmouth inside Leede Arena Friday night.
Along with the Tigers' hitting percentage being a season-high, it was the fourth highest hitting percentage in a three-set match by an Ivy League team this season.
Lucia Scalamandre was dominant, recording a match-high 15 kills on a .737 hitting percentage. Scalamandre's hitting percentage ranks No. 17 in the nation for highest percentage in the nation for a player making 15-19 attempts. It was also her second highest hitting percentage of the season and she now holds the top four single-match highs for hitting percentage in the Ivy League in 2025. Scalamandre also tied the match-high in blocks with two.
Erin McNair tallied double figure kills for Princeton with 12, while Valerie Nutakor compiled nine kills and shared the match-high in digs with 14. Sydney Draper recorded her sixth double-double of the season with a match-high 34 kills and 14 digs, while Olivia Foye's two service aces tied for the match-high.
Led by a Nutakor kill, the Tigers opened the first set with a 7-1 run to take a commanding lead early. Princeton was able to maintain a five-point advantage at 18-13, before a kill by Shelby Burriss ignited a 5-0 run that gave Princeton a double figure advantage, 23-13. The Tigers went on to win the set, 25-16, and take a 1-0 advantage in the match.
The Tigers face Harvard (3-8, 2-1) at 6 p.m. tomorrow inside the Malkin Athletic Center in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

A Draper kill followed by a pair of Scalamandre kills saw Princeton take the lead, 8-7, and the Tigers would not trail for the remainder of the set. The Tigers were able to edge ahead 11-9 in the third set, before a pair of Nutakor kills followed by a Foye service ace extended Princeton's advantage to give at 14-9. A kill by McNair led a 5-0 run that pushed the Tigers' lead out to 21-13, then another McNair kill gave Princeton match point at 24-15. Burriss slid right then put down the kill to give the Tigers a 25-15 victory in the third set along with a 3-0 sweep in the match.S2: Princeton 13, Dartmouth 11
