Fall Racing Concludes For Men’s Lightweight Rowing At Princeton Chase

PRINCETON, N.J. – Fall racing concluded for the Princeton University men's lightweight rowing team Sunday at Lake Carnegie at the Princeton Chase.
"It was awesome to see the whole team race on Carnegie today in epic weather," said Head Coach Matt Smith. "The Princeton Chase is a special race for the whole team as every athlete gets to race down Carnegie multiple times. Today we saw great competition in the Lightweight league. The Tigers came away with wins in a few events, but we are excited to get back to training. The spirit and energy is high and we look forward to seeing where we can get our boat speed in the spring. A huge thanks to all the families and fans that came out to watch and cheer us on!"
In the morning session of 8+, the Tigers' A boat finished third (12:50.34) and B boat fourth (12:57.05) in an event with 20 entries. Princeton's C boat came in 11th (13:23.00) and D boat 17th (13:58.33).
In the afternoon session of the 8+, the Tigers' A boat took second (13:19.46) and the B boat ninth (15:02.91).
Princeton's A boat (14:42.91) won the 4- and the B boat finished second (15:38.85).
In the 4+, which had 35 entries, the Tigers A boat finished eighth (14:50.84) and B boat 12th (15:11.75).
In addition, the Tigers won the 1x (17:37.02).
