PRINCETON, N.J. --- Myles Hogan was named the Mid-Atlantic Athlete of the Year and Jason Vigilante was named the Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year as the USTFCCCA announced its regional awards on Tuesday.
Hogan, winning the Charles Werner Award, caps off a dominant season that saw the senior lead the Tigers to a fifth-straight Ivy League Championship as he took first place by 48 seconds. At the regional championships, Hogan took second place as to lead the Tigers to a first-place team finish. At the NCAA Championships, Hogan went on to finish in 45th place.
Vigilante, in his third year at the helm of the men's track & field / cross country program, earns his first cross country Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year award, after winning the honor at the conclusion of the outdoor track season last spring. Under his leadership, the Tigers have completed two triple crowns and won three cross country titles, qualifying for NCAAs each year.
With the cross country season finished, Vigilante, Hogan, and the Tigers will now look ahead to the indoor track season, beginning on Dec. 6 with the Penn Opener.
