Boaz Finishes Second at Friar Invitational for Men’s Cross Country

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Sophomore Hayden Boaz put forth a blistering runner-up performance for the Princeton University men's cross country team at Friday's Friar Invitational, hosted by Providence at Highland Park.
Boaz ran a time of 18:05.1, which was the second-quickest time of the afternoon, bested only by Penn freshman Nicholas Mazzeo (18.01.2) as the Tigers took sixth place of nine teams with 141 points.
Freshman Henry Barker was the next fastest Princeton finisher, clocking a time of 18:47.1 to take 27th place. Fellow newcomer Caleb Rock ran a time of 18:58.2 to place 34th.
Tsedeke Jakovics (19:04.4), Hudson Haley (19:22.3), Thomas Arender (19:28.3), Jon Nathan Lawrence (19:59.4), and Liam Luff (20:45.1) round out the rest of the field for the Tigers.
