September 03, 2026 | Men's Cross Country
To open the 2026 season Friday, the Princeton men's cross country team will head to the Friar Invitational, hosted by Providence at the Mark Coogan Cross Country Course at Highland Park in Attleboro, Mass.
Results from Lancer Timing can be found here.
The men's race is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. The field is expected to include Boston U., Brown, Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Fairfield, Harvard, Hofstra, Princeton and Providence.
Princeton enters the season ranked No. 25 in the USTFCCCA national poll and No. 1 in the Mid-Atlantic Region. Harvard, also in Friday's field, is ranked No. 19 nationally, while host Providence is ranked third in the Northeast Region.
The Tigers are coming off another championship season in 2025, winning their fifth straight Ivy League title before capturing the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional championship for the second time in three seasons. Princeton went on to finish 27th at the NCAA Championships.
At last year's Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, Princeton won the men's 8K title with 32 points, ahead of Harvard's 46. The Tigers placed seven runners in the top 13, led by individual champion and 2026 alum Myles Hogan, while returning Tigers Jacob Nenow, Brian Boler, Hayden Boaz, Steven Hergenrother and Sebastian Martinez all scored in the championship race.
Princeton followed that performance by winning the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional 10K with 45 points, ahead of Georgetown's 63 and Villanova's 84. The regional title sent the Tigers back to the NCAA Championships, where Princeton finished 27th nationally.
Friday's meet will also give the Tigers an early look at the course that will host the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships on Oct. 31. Princeton's next meet after the Friar Invitational will be the Meadows Challenge on Sept. 26 at Princeton.
