Men's Hockey Falls At Bowling Green In Weekend Opener
November 28, 2025 | Men's Ice Hockey
Quick starts to the opening two periods by the Bowling Green Falcons were too much for Princeton to overcome in a 4-1 loss at Slater Family Ice Arena.
Bowling Green scored less than two minutes into the game, and in the second period they connected twice in the first five minutes.
Princeton was 0-for-3 on the power play, including missing out on taking advantage of a five-minute major assessed to the Falcons in the second period.
Kai Daniells scored for the Tigers, giving him goals in three consecutive games and seven total goals in that run. He is the first Tiger to score in three straight contests since Jack Cronin did so from 12/2-9 in 2023.
Daniel Moore made 10 saves in 27:12 of work after coming on midway through the second period for his first collegiate action.
The Falcons scored first when Jaden Grant swatted in a rebound of a Maxwell Martin shot 1:34 into the game.
The Tigers had a prime chance to tie the game moments later, but David Jacobs had his breakaway chance denied by Tyler Palmer. Another opportunity for the Tigers came later in the first period, but Palmer was again up to the task and got a pad on a wrap-around attempt from Julian Facchinelli.
In the second period, Bowling Green scored twice in a span of 1:11 to take a 3-0 lead.
Connor Levis got the first of the two quick goals, finding a loose puck during a scrum in front and flipping it by Callaghan 3:08 into the period. Just over a minute later, Dominik Ryman snuck a wrister from the left wall by Callaghan to give the Falcons a 3-0 lead.
A third Falcon goal in the second period rendered the score 4-0 after two period after Tyler Hotson had a shot navigate traffic and elude Callaghan.
The Tigers and Falcons conclude their series with the second game of the weekend set for 6 p.m. on November 29.
