Men's Hockey Edged At Bowling Green, 4-3
November 29, 2025 | Men's Ice Hockey
Princeton was the better team throughout most of the finale of a two-game series at Bowling Green, but the hosts benefited from a late power-play goal to escape on home ice with a 4-3 win.
Seamus Latta had a two-point night for the Tigers, with two assists. Jayden Sison, Brendan Gorman and Luc Pelletier had the goals for the Tigers.
Special teams played a role as the Falcons were 2-for-4 on the power play while the Tigers did not score on their lone extra-man opportunity in the game.
For the second night in a row, Bowling Green netted an early goal to take a 1-0 lead. Jackson Niedermayer scored the goal as his wrister from the left circle on a delayed penalty call trickled through Moor and in 3:48 into the game.
Unlike Friday night where the Tigers could not answer that early goal, Princeton countered before the end of the first period on Saturday when Luc Pelletier scored his third goal of the season just past the midway mark of the opening stanza.
A quick pass from Kevin Anderson to Pelletier initiated a Princeton breakout with numbers, and Pelletier found Ian Devlin who was joining the play. Devlin was patient bringing the puck around the net before threading a quick centering pass towards the crease that was one-timed home by Pelletier.
Princeton was on the gas in the second period, scoring twice in the first 10:50 to take a 3-2 lead.
Samus Latta tied the game at 2-2 with his first collegiate goal at the 7:59 mark of the middle frame. After sustained pressure from the fourth line, Latta worked down the left wall and funneled a puck towards the BGSU goal that redirected off a Falcon defender and in.
The Falcons found an equalizer with 0:55 to play in the period when a Tyler Hotson shot hit a stick in front and shot over Moor's shoulder at the near post to send the game to the third tied, 3-3.
A third period that again had the Tigers in control turned on a late Princeton penalty and subsequent power-play goal from the Falcons.
With David Ma off for tripping and a Princeton penalty killer playing without a stick, Quinn Emerson one-timed in the winner from the slot with 2:52 to play.
The Tigers return to ECAC play with a trip to Union (December 5) and RPI (December 6) on tap.
