
Men’s Swimming & Diving Sits First After Third Day At Ivy Championships

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Princeton University men's swimming & diving team sits in first place after the third day of competition at the Ivy League Championships Friday at the Katherine Moran Coleman Aquatics Center.
The Tigers' 847.5 points have them first, just ahead of Harvard who is second with 846.5. In third place is Yale, with 836.5 points.
The 1,000 freestyle saw four Tigers score, as Santiago Guttierrez finished fourth (8:55.85), Max Marcus seventh (9:03.31), Connor Buck 11th (9:06.58) and Devyn Caples 13th in (9:07.10).
In the 400 IM, Max Seidel touched the wall at 3:44.94 to finish third and Arthur Balva at 3:45.54 to finish fourth. Noah Sech's time of 3:45.23 saw him win the B final while Devyn Caples came in second with a time of 3:47.91 and Hunter Kim fifth in 3:52.86.
Tyler Hong's time of 46.26 saw him come in second in 100 backstroke, while Yanning Zhang finished sixth with a time of 46.80. In the B final, Brett Feyerick clocked in at 47.37 to finished second and Parker Lenoce at 47.63 to finish fourth.
A pair of Tigers advanced to the A final of the 100 butterfly, with Conor McKenna coming in seventh in 46.76 and Logan Noguchi eighth in 46.87.
Andrew Zou finished second in the B final of the 100 breaststroke, touching the wall at 52.89.
In the 400 medley relay, the quartet of Hong, Andrew Zou, McKenna and Schott finished fourth with a time of 3:07.90.
