McKenzie Blake & Haven Dora Named To Tewaaraton Award Watch List

A pair of Princeton women's lacrosse players have been recognized as players to keep an eye on this year in terms of the race for national player of the year as McKenzie Blake and Haven Dora have been named to the 50-woman Watch List for the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
Princeton's top two leading scorers last season, Blake and Dora combined to tally 141 points with 72 coming from Blake (67g, 5a) and 69 off the stick of Dora (29g, 40a) as the Tigers put together a 2024 season that included a win over Drexel in the NCAA Tournament.
Blake and Dora are two of six Ivy Leaguers on the Watch List, making Princeton one of two Ivy schools with multiple players selected.
A preseason All-American according to USA Lacrosse Magazine, Blake enters her senior season with 165 career points in 52 games -- averaging 3.2 points-per-game over her Princeton career. She has accounted for 142 goals which is tied for No. 10 all-time by a Princeton player and she has her sights set on climbing that chart all season long with the top spot 67 goals away -- which is the exact amount she scored in 2024.
This past summer, Haven Dora won a gold medal with Team USA at the U20 World Championships and is looking to use that sensational experience to booster her way into a junior season primed for a further breakout. After easing into her collegiate career in 2023 with a 12-game, 15-point rookie campaign while returning from injury, Dora exploded in her sophomore season to the tune of 69 points in 18 games (3.8 points-per-game).
The Tigers open their 2025 slate on February 15, hosting Virginia at Class of 1953 Stadium at 12 p.m.
