McKenzie Blake Named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week

McKenzie Blake was a dominant force in Princeton's 20-8 win at Rutgers on March 12, earning her second Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week honor in the process.

Blake tied Princeton's single-game record for goals in a game with eight, and established her own personal single-game high with nine points as the Tigers improved to 6-1 this season.

Not content to just be a factor on the offensive end, Blake won a team-high six draw controls and picked up five ground balls while causing one turnover.

The Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week selection is the second of the season for Blake and fourth of her career.

Entering this week, Blake leads the Ivy League and ranks No. 3 in the country in goals-per-game (4.7) and is No. 1 in the Ivy League and No. 12 in the country in goals (33). She has 37 total points which is tied – with teammate Haven Dora – for No. 1 in the Ivy League and No. 33 in the nation. Blake's 5.3 points-per-game also lead the Ivy League and are No. 12 in the country.
