Jami MacDonald Added To Tewaaraton Award Watch List

Junior attacker Jami MacDonald has been added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List in the second round of additions, giving the Tigers three players among the XXX in contention for selection as the nation's most outstanding player.

Her selection to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List joins her alongside fellow Tiger attackers McKenzie Blake and Haven Dora who were on the initial Watch List released before the season.

MacDonald ranks No. 3 on the Tigers in scoring with 39 points overall, and is second in both goals (23) and assists (16) this season.

Entering this weekend, MacDonald ranks No. 24 in the country in points-per-game (4.88) and is No. 38 in assists-per-game (2.0).

The field will be narrowed to 25 men's and 25 women's nominees on April 17. Nominees can be players from the Watch Lists or not from the Watch Lists, effectively allowing for a third round of additions.

Five men's and five women's finalists will be announced in early May. The Tewaaraton Award recipients will be chosen after the conclusion of the collegiate lacrosse season. The Finalists will be honored and this year's recipients announced live on May 29 at the Tewaaraton Ceremony in Washington, D.C.
