Senior goalie Ethan Pearson will begin his professional career with the Maine Mariners of the ECHL after signing an ATO with the club.
An honorable mention All-Ivy selection this past season, Pearson was 7-8-2 with a 2.33 GAA and .913 save percentage this past season. He played in 58 games over his Princeton career, finishing with a 20-27-4 record, 3.05 GAA and a .891 save percentage with five career shutouts.
"This is an exciting time for Ethan," said head coach Ben Syer. "He worked tremendously hard this season to improve as a goalie and pro teams were noticing. I am thrilled for him to get this chance with Maine and start on his journey as a professional hockey player."
The Mariners are the ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins and play in Portland. Pearson's first weekend with the Mariners will come in Reading, Pa. as the team plays three games starting March 28.
