No. 2 Princeton Takes Down Yale 18-7 On Senior Day
April 26, 2025 | Men's Lacrosse
On Princeton men's lacrosse Senior Day, a junior stood tall, a sophomore made history and a freshman continued to show what his future is all about.
And the seniors went out with a big win.
Princeton scored four times in the first five minutes and never looked back in an 18-7 win over Yale to cap the regular season. The Tiger win solidified the upcoming Ivy League tournament pairings for this coming weekend in Ithaca, where No. 1 seed Cornell will take on No. 4 seed Yale and No. 2 seed Princeton will take on No. 3 seed Harvard.
The Tigers won their seventh straight game and finished the regular season at 11-2 overall, 5-1 in the Ivy League. Sophomore attackman Nate Kabiri had a goal and two assists, giving him 100 career points and making him just the sixth Princeton player ever to reach 100 points as a sophomore, joining Kevin Lowe, Jesse Hubbard, Ryan Boyle, Michael Sowers an Coulter Mackesy.
The 11 seniors were introduced beforehand along with their families, and the party kept going once the game itself started. Tucker Wade scored Princeton's first goal for the fifth time this season, and he was followed by Sean Cameron, Peter Buonanno and Colin Burns in short order, making it 4-0 Princeton just 5:09 in.
Yale scored two of the next three before Princeton scored eight straight, building an 11-2 lead at the break and pushing it to 13-2 before Yale scored after a 31-minute drought.
Coulter Mackesy had two goals and an assist, and he now has 160 career goals, three away from Jesse Hubbard's Princeton career record. Burns had a goal and five assists, while Tucker Wade and Braedon Saris both had two each. Porter Malkiel, Mark Marino and Brody Upton all scored their first career goals.
The 11 seniors honored were: Billy Barnds, Michael Bath, Cameron, Liam Fairback, Koby Ginder, Michael Kelly, Mackesy, Colin Mulshine, McKnight Pederson, Jack Ringhofer and Braedon Saris.

Junior goalie Ryan Croddick made 19 saves for Princeton, who held a fifth opponent in six games to eight goals or fewer. Buonanno, a freshman, had his first four-goal game, one week after having his first three-goal game in the win at Penn.Pete Buonanno's fourth goal is certainly his most impressive. Probably. He now has seven in two games.
