Ethan Rivera is one of nine entrants at 57kg. He is coming off a freshman season where he was 10-7 overall, including a 4-1 record at the Princeton Open to finish fifth.
Eligh Rivera was a NCAA qualifier last season at 141 pounds and was an honorable mention All-Ivy selection. He was 18-9 overall during the season, and ranked as high as No. 25 nationally. In the postseason, he was runner-up at the Ivy League Tournament and then went 2-2 in his first trip to nationals including a win over No. 8 seed Andrew Alirez of Northern Colorado.
Eligh is making his fourth appearance representing Puerto Rico in international competition. This past October, he competed at the U23 World Championships.
