PRINCETON, N.J. – Non-conference play for the Princeton University women's volleyball team continues at the Towson/Coppin State Invitational on Sept. 12 and 13 in Baltimore Maryland.
Championship Tradition
The Tigers won their 20th Ivy League title in program history in 2023, finishing Ivy play with a 12-2 record. Princeton shared the championship with Yale, who also went 12-2 in conference play. Princeton's 20 Ivy titles are the most of any Ivy program, with Yale's 14 coming in second.
Head Coach Sabrina King
King is in her 14th season as head coach at Princeton. She has guided the Tigers to five Ivy League titles, three NCAA Tournament appearances and has been named Ivy Coach of the Year three times. Throughout her tenure as head coach, King has coached four Ivy League Players of the Year and 44 All-Ivy honorees. A member of the Class of 2001 at Princeton, she won three Ivy titles as a plyer, was the 1999 Ivy Player of the Year and was a three-time All-Ivy selection.
Recapping The LD&B Insurance Invitational
The Tigers had 2-1 record at their season-opening LD&B Insurance Invitational in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and earned wins over Lehigh, 3-2 (25-23, 221-25, 19-25, 25-12, 15-13), on Sept. 5 and Bellarmine, 3-2 (22-25, 15-25, 25-15, 25-18, 25-23) on Sept. 6. The Tigers fell to James Madison in their final match of the tournament on Sept. 6, 3-1 (26-24, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17).
All-Tournament Team
Erin McNair and Taylor Clarke were named to the All-Tournament Team at the LD&B Insurance Invitational. McNair averaged 2.50 kills-per-set and 2.14 digs while also recording three service aces. Against Bellarmine, McNair had a career-high 21 kills, a career-high 13 digs and two service aces then against JMU she compiled 12 kills and six digs.
Across Princeton's three matches, Clarke averaged 3.25 kills and hit .420. She also recorded four digs and three blocks. In the Tigers' victory over the Knights, Clarke tallied 11 kills on a .500 attacking percentage, four digs and two blocks. Against JMU, Clarke recorded a team-high 15 kills and hit .448.
Ivy Rookie of The Week
The Ivy League announced its first round of weekly awards of 2025 and Clarke was honored as Rookie of the Week.
Sensational Scalamandre
Lucia Scalamandre currently ranks fourth in the nation in hitting percentage (.516). and sixth among active career leaders (.386). Heading into the 2024 season, Scalamandre, who was the 2022 Ivy Rookie of the Year, ranked fifth in hitting percentage (.355), third in blocks (97), third in blocks-per-set (1.05), eighth in points (299) and ninth in points-per-set (3.25) in 2024.
Upcoming Milestone For Draper
With 1,868 career assists, Draper needs 132 more to reach 2,000.
Draper Rising Up The Ranks
The 2023 Ivy Rookie of the Year, Draper was named to the Ivy League All-Tournament Team in 2024. She finished third in the conference in assists-per-set (9.62) and assists (827).
Strong Freshman Season For Onyechi
Onyechi, who was named Second Team All-Ivy in 2024, ranked second in the conference in blocks-per-set (1.10) and second in hitting percentage (.405).
Big Impact From Bold
Bold led the team and ranked fourth in the Ivy League in digs-per-set (3.20). She was also named to the Villanova Classic All-Tournament Team.
Scouting Towson
The Tigers are 5-2 on the season and took down Kent State, 3-1 (25-11, 24-26, 25-15, 25-15) on Sept. 6 in Towson, Maryland, in their most recent match.
Scouting Iona
The Gaels have a 4-2 record this season and in their most recent match defeated Central Connecticut, 3-0 (25-23, 25-17, 25-14) on Sept. 6 in South Orange, New Jersey, at the Seton Hall Classic.

The Eagles are 2-4 in 2025 and most recently fell to West Virginia, 3-0 (25-15, 25-14, 25-14), at the West Virginia Invitational on Sept. 6.
