PRINCETON, N.J. – Meg Madison was named Ivy Athlete of the Week, the league announced Tuesday. It is Madison's second-consecutive week earning the award.
The honor comes after Madison took first place at the Iona Paddy Doyle Meet of Champions, finishing the 5k in 17:32.4 to best the second-place runner by 15 seconds. Her time put her at an average mile pace of 5:38.7.
Madison's efforts helped Princeton to a team win with a near-perfect score of 19.
Sophomore Madison was also named Ivy Athlete of the Week last Tuesday after taking first place at the Jersey Jam. She has now been the top finisher at both of the Tigers' 2025 competitions to date.
The Tigers earned a sweep of the Ivy cross country awards this week, as Jacob Nenow picked up the honor on the men's side.
Off to a hot start, Madison and the Tigers will now look ahead to September 26, when they will head to Missouri for the Gans Creek Classic.
