January 18, 2026 | Women's Squash
Winning its fifth match in a row, the No. 4-ranked Princeton women's squash team completed a weekend sweep of the Connecticut trip, defeating No. 5 Trinity 6-3 on Sunday afternoon in Hartford.
Princeton started strong with a first-wave sweep, as Sam Jaffe won in three games at sixth, Zeina Zein won the last two games to take her match in four at first, and Liyen Teoh held off a comeback bid at seventh to win in four after winning the first two games.
Trinity rallied with wins at fifth and second positions, but Sonya Sasson won her match in five games at ninth, holding off a rally after winning the first two games, to put Princeton on the edge of victory.
Trinity responded with a win at fourth to pull within 4-3, but Hermione Cao had the clincher at eighth, winning in four after pulling away from a 1-1 tie in games, and Emma Trauber closed it out at third by winning three straight games after a first-game loss.
Princeton will break from team competition next weekend with the CSA individual championships set to begin Friday in New York. The following weekend, Princeton will return to Ivy League play with a trip to Cornell on Jan. 30 before the Ivy home opener against Columbia on Feb. 1.
