Top-Seeded Zein Set to Defend CSA Individual Title Beginning Friday
January 22, 2026 | Women's Squash
Defending champion and Princeton junior Zeina Zein is the top seed and leads five Tigers set to compete at the CSA Individual Championship in New York beginning Friday.
Draws are available here.
Zein, who last year became Princeton's first CSA individual champion since Julia Beaver '01, will try to become the first Tiger to go back-to-back since Beaver won her third straight in 2001. Harvard's Georgina Kennedy was the last to go back-to-back overall, winning consecutively in 2019 and 2020.
Zein has a first-round bye in the 56-player field, while Alex Jaffe, seeded on the 9-12 line, Emma Trauber, seeded 13-16, Charlotte Bell, seeded 21-24, and Caroline Eielson, unseeded, will have round-of-64 matches.
The daily schedule is as follows:
Friday, round of 64 and 32, matches starting at 12 p.m.
Saturday, round of 16 and consolation, matches starting at 10 a.m.
Sunday, quarterfinals and consolation, matches starting at 11 a.m.

Tuesday, final, match starting at 1:30 p.m.
The first three days will be held at Open Squash - FiDi before the tournament moves to Grand Central Terminal for the semis and final.
Bell, a senior, will be competing in the event for the fourth time, having made the quarterfinals of the Holleran West draw in 2023 and the semis of the Holleran West draw in 2024 before competing in the Ramsay Cup main draw, named for Princeton coach Gail Ramsay, last year, dropping her round-of-32 and consolation matches. Trauber, a junior, won the Holleran South draw in 2024 before winning a match to make the round of 16 in the Ramsay Cup draw last year. Eielson, a sophomore, and Jaffe, a first-year, will be making their tournament debuts. Zein made the semifinals as a rookie in 2024 before her title last year.
