Jaffe Pairs to Finish Runner-Up at Pan American Squash

Princeton women's squash rising sophomore Alex Jaffe reached the women's doubles final at the 2026 Pan American Squash Championship in Asunción, Paraguay, teaming with Harvard's Caroline Fouts while representing the United States.
Jaffe and Fouts advanced to the final with three wins, opening with a three-game victory over Argentina's Candela Bernard and Pilar Etchechoury before defeating Chile's Giselle Delgado and Anita Pinto in the quarterfinals. The U.S. pair then topped Brazil's Laura Silva and Renata Furletti 11-3, 11-8 in the semifinals to reach the championship match.
In the final, Jaffe and Fouts fell to Colombia's Laura Tovar and Maria Tovar, 11-7, 11-8.
Jaffe and Fouts were part of the four-player U.S. women's roster at the Pan American Championship, joining Amanda Sobhy and Marina Stefanoni. The draw wrapped on Wednesday, Aug. 19.
The run continued a standout year for Jaffe, who made an immediate impact in her first season at Princeton. As a rookie in 2025-26, Jaffe was a CSA first-team All-American, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy League honoree. She reached the semifinals of the Ramsay Cup in her CSA Individual Championships debut and competed in 16 of Princeton's 17 dual matches, going 13-1 at No. 2 while finishing the season unbeaten over her final 10 matches in duals.
Jaffe helped Princeton win the Ivy League title, capture the Ivy League Tournament title and reach the Howe Cup national championship final last season. She later added a U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Championship with her sister and Princeton teammate Sam Jaffe, as the two won the title in April at the Cynwyd Club in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
