Jaffe Sisters Win U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Title

After helping the Princeton women's squash team to an Ivy League title, an Ivy League Tournament title and the final of the Howe Cup national championship final, sisters Alex Jaffe and Sam Jaffe won the U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Championship on April 19 at the Cynwyd Club in Bala Cynwyd, Pa.
It was an all-locals final, with the Jaffe sisters, from Philadelphia, battling Georgetown teammates in sophomore Cici Curran and junior Mary Kacergis in a three-game win for the Tiger rookies, 15-7, 15-10, 15-14.
In her first season at Princeton, Alex Jaffe was a CSA first-team All-American, the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and a first-team All-Ivy Leaguer while holding down Princeton's second ladder position, going 13-1 there and 14-1 overall in duals along with making the CSA Ramsay Cup semifinal. Sam Jaffe put together a 17-0 season in duals, primarily playing between fifth and sixth, and was an All-Ivy League Tournament honoree.
