PRINCETON, N.J. – Returning from California to kick off the action in Dillon Gym, the #19 Princeton men's volleyball team will host Merrimack and St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday and Saturday.
The Tigers will take on the Warriors Friday at 7 p.m., before taking on the Spartans at 4 p.m. Saturday.

PRINCETON, N.J. – Returning from California to kick off the action in Dillon Gym, the #19 Princeton men's volleyball team will host Merrimack and St. Thomas Aquinas on Friday and Saturday.
The Tigers will take on the Warriors Friday at 7 p.m., before taking on the Spartans at 4 p.m. Saturday.
About the Tigers
- Princeton is coming off an 0-3 trip to California as it played some of the most highly-ranked teams in the country, notably picking a set off #5 USC on Jan. 16.
- Owen Mellon has been red-hot for the Tigers, leading the squad in kills with double figures in each of the first three games of the season.
- For his career-high 20 kills and .417 hitting against USC, Mellon was named EIVA Offensive Player of the Week on Jan. 19. He now averages 4.50 kills per set and .315 hitting.
- Nolan Kelly has led the Tigers in assists, averaging 9.00 a set. He also leads the Tigers in digs with 1.44/s.
- Tristan Whitfield leads the Tigers in blocks with 10 on the season, nine assists, one solo, for 1.0 a set so far.
- The Tigers were ranked #19 in the latest AVCA poll.
- Princeton was picked to finish fourth in the EIVA preseason poll, with Mason Rice and Ryan Vena named players to watch.
- Princeton kicked off preseason with a trip to Canada, where the Tigers took home two exhibition wins over McMaster and TMU.
- Last year, the Tigers won the EIVA regular season championship. Ultimately, they fell to Penn State in the EIVA tournament finals.
- The Tigers are led by Head Coach Sam Shweisky, in his 17th year. He is assisted by Joe Norton, in his third.
About Merrimack
- Merrimack is 1-2 on the season, most recently falling 0-3 to EIVA foe George Mason.
- The Warriors started the season with a split series with Dominican.
- Dallas Birkenbeuel leads Merrimack with 4.50 kills per set for .276 hitting.
