Men's Hockey Enters National Rankings For First Time Since 2018
January 05, 2026 | Men's Ice Hockey
A 10-4-0 start not only has Princeton sitting in first place in the ECAC, it has earned the Tigers their first appearance in the national polls since the 2018-19 season as Princeton has entered the USA Hockey Men's Division I College Poll at No. 19 and the USCHO.com Division I Men's Ice Hockey Poll at No. 20.
The Tigers last appeared in the USCHO.com Division I Men's Ice Hockey Poll the week of 11/26/18 when the Tigers were ranked No. 19. They started that season ranked No. 14 after reaching the 2018 NCAA Tournament and were ranked for each of the first nine weeks with a high of No. 13 on October 22.
Princeton has won five games in a row, the nation's second-longest winning streak behind only North Dakota (8).
The Tigers have been dominant at Hobey Baker Rink, winning all eight home games to start the 2025-26 season. Princeton's eight-game winning streak at home to start the season is the longest in the 103-year history of Hobey Baker Rink and is tied with Cornell for the current active longest home winning streak in the nation. Princeton's six consecutive ECAC wins also marks the nation's longest-active conference play winning streak.
Princeton continues a five-game homestand with matchups against RPI (Jan. 9) and Union (Jan. 10) at Hobey Baker Rink at 7 p.m.
