Kotchasanmanee Ranked No. 1; Women's Golf Slotted No. 15 In Team Rankings To Start 2026-27
October 14, 2026 | Women's Golf
The first NCAA women's golf rankings for the 2026-27 season have been released with Princeton well on the nation's radar at both the individual and team levels.
The Tigers, who have posted a win and a third place finish as a team through two tournaments this fall, are ranked No. 15 in the country on the strength of a 17-2-0 record as a team. Wake Forest is No. 1, followed by USC, Auburn, Virginia and South Carolina who round out the Top Five. All 14 teams ranked ahead of the Tigers are from either the ACC, Big Ten or SEC.
Sophomore Thanana Kotchasanmanee has earned the No. 1 spot in the initial individual rankings for 2026-27.
The 2026 Ivy League Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year, Kotchasanmanee is building off a rookie campaign that ended with a 12th place finish and the best-ever result for an Ivy Leaguer at the NCAA Championship in May.
She has played in two events this year, finishing in the Top Three in both. After opening with a third place finish at the Princeton Invitational, she posted a runner-up finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational where she was just off the pace of winner Maria Jose Marin of Arkansas.
Kotchasanmanee has played five rounds this fall and is even par or better in all five and is playing to a stroke average of 66.3 over her five rounds.
First-year golfer Eliane Liu is also among the Top-100, coming in at No. 97 to start the season.
Princeton concludes its Fall 2026 season at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational October 16-18 at UNC Finley Golf Course in Chapel Hill.
