February 21, 2026 | Women's Tennis
While the Princeton University campus was bracing for more than a foot of snow, its women's tennis team was playing on outdoor courts and in temperatures that were north of 80 degrees.
Princeton, ranked 34th this week, began its weekend in South Florida with a 4-1 win over Florida International in Miami. The Tigers will play Sunday at noon at Florida Atlantic, about an hour north of Miami in Boca Raton.
FIU won at No. 1 doubles in the first match to finish before Princeton came back with wins by Isabella Chhiv and Eva Elbaz at No. 2 and Maren Urata and Alice Ferlito at No. 3 to take the point.
Ferlito followed that with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Katerina Mandelikova at No. 1 singles, while Chhiv also added a second win, taking down Jelena Vico 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2.
