While the Princeton University campus was bracing for more than a foot of snow, its women's tennis team was playing on outdoor courts and in temperatures that were north of 80 degrees.

Princeton, ranked 34^th this week, began its weekend in South Florida with a 4-1 win over Florida International in Miami. The Tigers will play Sunday at noon at Florida Atlantic, about an hour north of Miami in Boca Raton.

FIU won at No. 1 doubles in the first match to finish before Princeton came back with wins by Isabella Chhiv and Eva Elbaz at No. 2 and Maren Urata and Alice Ferlito at No. 3 to take the point.

Ferlito followed that with a 6-3, 6-4 win over Katerina Mandelikova at No. 1 singles, while Chhiv also added a second win, taking down Jelena Vico 6-2, 7-5 at No. 2. Madeleine Jessup also won in straight sets at No. 4, with the lone FIU win at No. 6 singles and two other matches that were not finished.
