Men's Golf Finishes Play At The Johnnie-O

Princeton finished tied for 11th out of 15 teams at The Johnnie-O hosted by Rutgers at St. Simons in Sea Island, Ga., posting an overall team score of 854 (-10). Florida Gulf Coast and Georgia Southern tied as team champions, finishing at 822 (-42) as a squad.
The Tigers, who were ranked No. 86 in the country entering the tournament, finished tied with UNC-Greensboro and ahead of Penn State, No. 44 West Virginia and No. 97 Kennesaw State
Princeton was -13 as a group over the first two rounds, shooting -6 in the First Round and following with a -7 in the Second Round. Tuesday's Final Round saw the Tigers post a +3Â collectively to slot into the T11Â finish.
Riccardo Fantinelli was low finisher for the Tigers, equaling his career best -10 with a three-round score of 206 to finish T10.
Fantinelli opened with a 67 (-5) on the strength of five birdies and an eagle which included a run of four birdies and an eagle over an eight-hole stretch to get to -6 at one point. In the Second Round, he followed with a 71 (-1) that featured another four birdies.
On Tuesday, Fantinelli was bogey-free until the last en route to a 68 (-4) to climb six spots up the leaderboard into a tie for 10th place. Overall, he finished with 14 birdies which was T16th-most among the 84 players competing.
