Arthur Smith & Kai Daniells Named Third-Team All-ECAC
March 10, 2026 | Men's Ice Hockey
A pair of Princeton Tigers have been named Third-Team All-ECAC as voted on by the ECAC head coaches with Arthur Smith and Kai Daniells securing postseason ECAC honors.
Daniells is tied for 10th in the ECAC in points overall and tied for 9th among forwards with 32 total points on 16 goals and 16 points and holding the team lead in goals and points. He ranks 6th in the ECAC in goals-per-game (0.53) and No. 5 in the ECAC in points-per-game (1.07). His four game-winning goals this season are No. 3 in the ECAC and 16th among all players in the country. The standout performance from Daniells was a five-goal game against St. Lawrence in November that tied Princeton's program record for goals in a game and were the most by any player in the country since 2011.
Smith has started 18 games in goal for the Tigers with an 8-8-2 overall record to go with a 2.46 GAA and a .910 save percentage. He has set career highs in wins, GAA and save percentage. Smith is the first Princeton goalie to earn All-ECAC honors since Zane Kalemba in 2008-09.
This marks the first time since the 2018-19 season that Princeton has had multiple players named All-ECAC in the same season. That 2018-19 campaign saw Ryan Kuffner (First Team), Max Véronneau (Second Team) and Josh Teves (Third Team) all earn postseason honors from the ECAC.
Princeton hosts Union in the ECAC Quarterfinals March 13-15 at Hobey Baker Rink. Tickets for Game 1 and Game 2 are on sale now at GoPrincetonTigers.com/Tickets.
