PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton men's volleyball team will head west for a pair of California matchups this week, first taking on #11 UCSD on Monday before facing #17 CSUN on Wednesday.
About the Tigers
- Princeton is coming off a 3-2 win over Dominican last Saturday at home in Dillon.
- Owen Mellon and Andrew Werner tallied career-highs in kills, with Mellon recording 25 and Werner making 18.
- The career-high is Mellon's second of the season, first making 20 kills against #5 USC in January. He now averages 3.60 a set to rank third in the EIVA.
- Nolan Kelly has been clutch for the Tigers, ranking third in the EIVA in digs with an average of 2.11 a set. He also ranks fifth in assists, tallying 7.80/s.
- On defense, Tristan Whitfield has led the Tigers with an average of 1.00/s, putting him fourth in the EIVA.
- Princeton was picked to finish fourth in the EIVA preseason poll, with Mason Rice and Ryan Vena named players to watch.
