Princeton Earns NCAA Top Seed, Will Host Stony Brook/Marist Winner Sunday At 2:30

PRINCETON TOPS CORNELL FOR ILT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Princeton men's lacrosse team made it home from Ithaca just in time to see that it had earned the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.

Princeton, fresh off a 19-9 win over Cornell in the Ivy League tournament final Sunday afternoon, found out that it was the top seed when the NCAA selections were announced. The Tigers will host the winner of the play-in game between Marist and Stony Brook in the first round Sunday at 2:30 on Sherrerd Field.

The winner of that game will play the winner of the game between eighth-seeded Penn State and Army-West Point in the quarterfinals at Delaware.

Princeton is 13-2 on the season, including 5-1 against teams in the NCAA field. The Tigers will be playing in their fifth straight NCAA tournament.

Broadcast and ticket information will be announced Monday. The other quarterfinal site will be Hofstra, and Championship Weekend will be in Charlottesville, Va.
