Locke showed steady improvement in his first three years and will contend for a regular spot with the Tigers again this season. He developed into a starter his sophomore year, which included a Top-20 finish at the Ivy Championships. He was the Tigers' second finisher as they placed second at the George Washington Invitational last spring, and tied for second on the team at the Navy Invitational. He shot more than four strokes better per round in the fall of his sophomore year than he did as a freshman. He was in the top four for the Tigers in both tournaments he competed in during the fall with a stroke average of 77.2. He shot a career-best 73 in the final round of the James Madison Invitational.

Locke showed promise in the two spring tournaments he played in as a freshman. He fired a 78 at the Navy Spring Classic to finish his first collegiate season on a high note. He will be counted on in the spring and next year.
