Last Minute Goal Lifts Holy Cross to 4-3 Win Over Princeton

WORCESTER, Mass. (1/2/15) - Spencer Trapp played the spoiler to Princeton's rally as the Crusader scored the game-winning goal with 43 seconds left to lift Holy Cross to a 4-3 win in men's hockey at the DCU Center on Saturday night.
T.J. Moore had a hat trick, scoring the first three Holy Cross (11-6-1) goals.
Down 2-0 after Moore's first two goals, one of which came on the power play, Princeton (4-11) scored twice to tie the game at 2-2. Junior Ben Foster tallied his fourth goal of the year, putting the puck under the paddle of Paul Berrafato at 4:07 with sophomore Eric Robinson and junior Ryan Siiro assisting. Senior Mike Ambrosia followed up with his first goal of the season at 8:45.
Moore capped off his hat trick at 12:43 but five minutes later sophomore David Hallisey responded, scoring his third of the season to knot the game at 3-3 at 17:42.
Junior Colton Phinney made 37 saves in goal for the Tigers. Berrafato stopped 22 on the other end to help.
Princeton was 0 for 1 on the power play and 2 for 3 on the penalty kill.
The Tigers return to ECAC Hockey play in a rare Thursday night game as Rensselaer comes to town for a 7 p.m., game.
