Leadership Development
Princeton Tiger Performance walks the walk of developing high performance leaders by collaborating with Princeton Athletics' leadership development programs for student-athletes.
Captains Council is comprised of senior captains of the athletic teams and meets regularly to discuss issues of importance to their teams related to academics, athletics and social life at Princeton. The Council uses Be A TIGER as its reference point and incorporates elements of peer leadership, coaches’ education, and outside experts and speakers to encourage the culture of achieve, serve and lead within Princeton Athletics.
Emerging Leaders helps aspiring student-athlete leaders develop the capabilities, skills, and confidence to Be A TIGER prepared to lead in any context. The program is intended to influence values, behavior, and culture and support team performance. It employs learning from peers, coaches, and outside experts and speakers.
Student Athlete Wellness Leaders (SAWL) supports healthy lifestyles among student-athletes. The SAWL program, co-sponsored by Princeton Athletics and UHS trains student-athlete wellness leaders to notice and respond peers in need of support, and to gain the skills and knowledge to refer them to appropriate resources.
